I believe everyone can benefit from having a set of house rules. It's a great way to keep your values in the forefront so that you can live by them. I see examples of these rules printed all over canvases in the home décor sections of many stores. I really wanted to buy one, but I figured I'll just make one myself, someday! So, here are the rules of my home:
Treat your loved ones like you LIKE them!
Be truthful with your words and who you are.
Give tokens of affection to your loved ones, always.
Believe in the power of prayer.
Remember to say "Please" and "Thank you."
If you open it, close it.
If you take it out, put it back.
If you want it, ask for it.
If you see trash, throw it away.
If you see something out of place, put it in its place.
Flowers are the best decoration.
Make each room/space a little neater before you leave it.
